Knopka Zhizny (Life Button), an innovative smartwatch with a GPS tracker and a SOS button for emergency calls, has been successfully tested in Moscow.
“It's very important for innovative solutions and new products to have a social dimension. Through the Open Challenges competition, the Government of Moscow finds and supports new ideas that can help improve the quality of life in the city. Knopka Zhizny is one of such solutions, and we plan to support its implementation in the future,” said Alexey Fursin, head of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development.
Initial tests for Knopka Zhizni were held at several children's camps. Thanks to the smartwatch, camp counselors could always track the whereabouts of their young charges. Additional tests were held in November at Rehabilitation and Education Center No. 7.
The Knopka Zhizni service was first introduced in 2011. It is designed for children and the elderly. Using an SOS device, they can get in touch with a 24/7 emergency response center.
