The event will be dedicated to new technology, content and digital media.
Moscow Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina met with representatives of Reed Midem, an event management company with operations spanning dozens of countries, including France, the USA, Singapore and China. She said that Moscow is ready to collaborate with international partners who specialize in organizing large-scale business forums.
The meeting was initiated by Reed Midem. Given Moscow's rapid growth and increasingly stronger positions among the world's top megacities, the company proposed to make Moscow the host of a global forum on new technology, content and digital media.
„We've been working with Russian companies for many years and would like to consider an opportunity of running a large-scale event in Moscow,“ said Jerome Delhaye, director of Reed Midem's entertainment division.
The forum can become an annual international event.
„We're interested in carving our own niche to work on a permanent basis. This will help further capitalize opportunities of Moscow companies on external markets. IT and smart city solutions could receive priority treatment,“ emphasized Sergunina.
According to her, Moscow's achievements in these areas have been recognized across Russia and in other countries, such as Singapore.
“Smart city“ often refers to digital services that simplify interaction between the state and its citizens and entrepreneurs, individuals and companies. For us, „smart city“ has a wider sense and implies the creation of a new urban environment shaped together by public and private efforts,” added she.
