Children to Compete with Research Projects at School Idea

On November 30, the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences will host the final of the second School Idea conference/competition.

The event is designed to tap into the intellectual and research potential of 5th through 11th grade students of general education schools in Moscow, Moscow Oblast, St.Petersburg, and Leningrad Oblast.

Students are encouraged to present their research projects in three areas: physics and chemistry (physical and chemical processes, technologies for creating new materials); engineering and robotics (upgraded existing or completely new mechanisms, machines, and control systems); medicine and biology (including environmental management projects).

The conference is organized by the Young Scientists Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Applications are accepted from September 1 through September 30.
