Open Innovation Marketplace (IASP)

Open Innovation Marketplace (hereafter - OIMP) is a special event as part of additional program of the 33rd International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) World Conference.

 Open Innovation Marketplace (OIMP) is a global startup contest to identify 50 companies that will compete in 10 industry challenges.

Benefits for the winners of OIMP include:

1. an opportunity to pilot innovations in Moscow's public infrastructure;

2. an opportunity to be funded/co-funded by Moscow-based foundations and Russian corporations;

3. an opportunity to get a project hosted (for further development in Moscow) at Moscow's innovation infrastructure facilities (technology parks, etc.);

4.a n opportunity to establish a direct contact with potential customers from the Moscow government.

Deadline for applications - 31 July 2016.

OIMP is targeted to foreign and Russian companies developing innovative solutions in the fields of eHealth, Cleantech, Industry, Technology, Smart Society, Governance, Energy, Mobility and Sustainable City.

As part of the OIMP competition 50 start-up companies (semifinalists) corresponding to 10 industry challenges will be invited to take part in the Final (on September 20).  Among the 10 industries challenges there are: 5 challenges from the city of Moscow for solving urban problems and needs of the city; and 5 challenges from the Russian corporations, federal authorities and federal unitary enterprises for improving quality of life and infrastructure of the city. 

During the OIMP Final within IASP conference, the jury will decide on 10 winners corresponding to 10 industry challenges. The expert jury will include representatives of science and technology parks, representatives of Moscow executive authorities and public corporations. 

The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation World Conference (IASP Conference) is an annual worldwide network of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), which is a key venue for meeting, communication, transfer of experience among leaders and first persons of innovative community around the world. 

The 33rd IASP World Conference will be held in Moscow on September 19-22, 2016. The theme of the conference is «The Global Mind – linking innovation communities for internationalization, sustainability and growth».

The conference will bring together experts of Science and Technology parks (STP) and other areas of innovation (AI), technology incubators, academia, public sector enterprises and business scope for discussion and detailed consideration in relation to science and technology parks and other areas of innovation development trends that become more complex structures of professional support in the field of innovation. 

The business conference program will include sessions, seminars, workshops, master-classes and cultural program, as well as free business communication.  

Participants: 700-1200 representatives of science parks around the world. 

IASP is an International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation. IASP connects the professionals managing science, technology and research parks (STPs) and other areas of innovation and provides services that further promote the growth and effectiveness for all members. IASP members enhance the competitiveness of companies and entrepreneurs of their cities and regions, and contribute to global economic development through innovation, entrepreneurship, and the transfer of knowledge and technology.
