Moscow to Sign Memorandum With UN Development Program

As part of the Word Congress on Information Technologies (WCIT), the Government of Moscow and the United Nations Development Program held a  briefing dedicated to innovative growth in developing countries and discussed future collaboration.


Alexey Parabuchev, CEO of the Moscow Agency of Innovations, emphasized that working with the UN Development Program is very important for the Russian capital.


“Sharing experiences and learning from each other is extremely important for administrations of developing cities,” said he. “While growing fast over the last few years, many of them have found unique solutions to problems in various areas. These know-hows can be useful for other mega cities – such findings help save significant resources.”


The United Nations Development Program is a key UN agency implementing development projects in 177 countries, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. The agency helps countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience in order to sustain development results.
