From January 29 through February 1, Moscow's Expocenter is hosting the Russian Construction Materials exhibition and forum, one of the largest professional events for this industry.
One of the forum's sections was dedicated to government incentives for local manufacturers of construction materials, including support for exporters, small and medium-sized businesses, and producers of innovative materials.
Speaking at the forum, Alexei Parabuchev, CEO at the Moscow Agency of Innovations, talked about the city's innovation policies for the construction industry. He focused on several initiatives administered by the agency including the Open Challenges program, which is designed to identify and test technological innovations that help Moscow solve various problems in various industries.
He also addressed national and international practices in testing and applying innovations for residential and industrial construction. According to Alexei Parabuchev, 27% of all entries included in the Register of Innovative and Hi-Tech Products and Technologies, a procurement guide administered by the agency, cater to the construction industry.
