Moscow Agency of Innovations invites young inventors and their project teams to participate in MOSGORTECH, a competition of innovation technologies for Moscow.
The competition is organized in partnership with Enel Russia, S&P Capital, Moscow Department of Environmental Management and Protection, State Conservation Center, QIWI Group, and RTO. Together they will identify the best solutions for pilot implementations in the city.
The competition is open to teams of students (beginning from freshmen) and young specialists (under 35 years old), including employees of small innovation businesses and real-economy companies. Individual participants, such as engineers and entrepreneurs, are also welcome to apply.
In addition to piloting their projects in Moscow, winners will also receive support from experts to improve their solutions (prototyping, industrial design, certification, and other services) as well as a chance to widely publicize their projects.
Prizes include a 2-month free access to the coworking center Deworkacy.Krasny Oktyabr for further project development activities, access to manufacturing capacities and expertise of Enel Russia for testing and implementation activities, participation in Demo Day and presentation of projects to Moscow Seed Fund and other investors, as well as an opportunity to become a technology provider for the partners of the competition.
“The number of business-driven R&D projects grows with each year. The city's government sees a large potential in the interaction of engineers and entrepreneurs. MOSGORTECH is a place where the city's needs, business objectives and new technology offerings come together. The themes of the projects were developed together with the partners, with their business needs in mind. We hope that the competition will contribute to the emergence of new technology-driven businesses in the city,” says Alexey Parabuchev, the CEO of Moscow Agency of Innovations.
projects in different countries. We are very proud that in Russia we've also started promoting energy innovations that will help make our business more efficient and improve the quality of life. We firmly believe in the importance of this project and are confident that its results will be positive for everyone involved,” says Carlo Palasciano Villamagna, the CEO of Enel Russia.
“In today's retail, without hi-tech solutions you are bound to be
outperformed by competitors. To achieve success in this business, it is not
enough to have a quality product and a polite salesman. We believe that such
competitions help science shorten the distance between the lab and the
consumer, and they help business obtain a modern taste in communications with
the consumer,” says Sergey Rumyantsev, a partner at S&P Capital.
Themes of the competition include: safe living environment, population mobility and transportation infrastructure, intelligent resource management systems, new technologies and materials, hi-tech retail, commercial recycling and waste management, financial IT platforms and services.
Applications are accepted through November 25, 2016 at the web site of Moscow Agency of Innovations (http://innoagency.ru/ru/application/support/mosgortech). The final of the competition will take place at Deworkacy on December 17-18, 2016.
