Young scientists aged 18 through 30 can
take part in the national Umnik contest. Supported by the Fund for the
Advancement of Innovations, the contest aims to support young scientists
looking for opportunities to apply their knowledge to innovation and
entrepreneurship.
Applicants can submit projects in the
following categories:
1) ICT
2) Medicine, pharmacology, medical biotech
3) Chemistry, chemical technologies, new
materials, construction
4) Electronics, instrumentation,
mechanical engineering
5) Biotech, agriculture, food
manufacturing
The strongest projects will receive grant
funding in the amount of 500 thousand rubles. Under the terms of the contest,
scientists are required to spend this money on research and development
activities, which are not to exceed 24 months.
